Years ago, when I was thinking about starting my own business, I used to ask other people if they thought I could be an entrepreneur. Everyone always said ‘absolutely’ but for some reason, I never believed them. I thought they were just being kind. Several years into my entrepreneurial journey, I saw a meme that said ‘when other people believe in you, believe them.’ What a brilliant line and something important for all of us to remember. It is so easy to see the gifts and potential in others, but often so hard to see it in ourselves. It’s in these moments that we need to channel the confidence of others in order to build our own. Sometimes it takes faking it until we make it until we realize we weren’t faking it all.
