#BizRAK2019: The Roundtable Holiday Happiness Guide Day 4

Posted December 19, 2019 in Latest News & Insights

This week, The Roundtable is celebrating the 2019 holiday season by giving back to our amazing community. To show our thanks and spread some cheer, we’ve put together a Holiday Happiness Guide with tips and tricks to make the most out of the holiday season.

For the past 4 years, we have done a BizRAK campaign in December to encourage people to perform random acts of kindness at work. We are huge fans of Steffi Black and her Random Acts of Kindness Week, so we are bringing BizRAK back with 5 days of #BizRAK2019.

Day 4 is all about giving back. Here are 5 ways to give back & pay-it-forward this holiday season:

1.Share knowledge

Showing kindness to people doesn’t have to be in the form of tangible gifts. Sometimes it’s as easy as sharing tips & tricks you’ve learned throughout your life.

So today, share some knowledge with your network and community. Tell them something you think everyone needs to know that could help them in the career, personal life, etc.

2. Pay for a coffee to someone in line

The next time you’re in line getting your holiday-flavoured latte, make someone’s day by paying for theirs too.

Small gestures like this go a long way. You could be setting someone up for an amazing day.

3. Share books that made an impact on you

Along the lines of sharing knowledge, share the knowledge you’ve picked up from someone/somewhere else.

4. Donate clothes and things

This helps in so many ways: You’re preventing your clothes and things from going to landfills AND letting your things be loved again by someone else.

Some stores will even buy your pre-loved things, so this could be a chance for you to earn some extra dollars.

5. Leave a surprise in a library book

Leave a sticky note on your favourite page and share your thoughts and feelings with the next reader. Or, simply leave them a note wishing them a Happy Holidays.

Let us know which one of these RAKs you’ll be doing, and check back in tomorrow for another Holiday Happiness Guide!
