#BizRAK2019: The Roundtable Holiday Happiness Guide Day 1

This week, The Roundtable is celebrating the 2019 holiday season by giving back to our amazing community. To show our thanks and spread some cheer, we’ve put together a Holiday Happiness Guide with tips and tricks to make the most out of the holiday season.

For the past 4 years, we have done a BizRAK campaign in December to encourage people to perform random acts of kindness at work. We are huge fans of Steffi Black and her Random Acts of Kindness Week, so we are bringing BizRAK back with 5 days of #BizRAK2019.

Day 1 is all about kindness at work. Here are 5 ways to spread kindness in the office:

1.Have a team potluck

One of our values at The Roundtable is #HaveFun. We take time in our schedule to plan fun things for our team to do, just to spend time together.

2. Share Team Kudos

At the beginning of every team meeting, we go around the table and take turns to give a shout out to someone on the team. We start off all our team meetings by appreciating someone on the team for the help they gave us on a project, or when they do something that truly embodies our company values.

3. Start an office Kindness Board

Spread happiness in your office with a display board. Take time to share a compliment about a coworker, or rotate some of your favourite kindness quotes.

4. Start an office Kindness Jar

Work with your teammates and coworkers to share some happiness with those who need it most. Start a charity fund in your office and at the end of the week/month, take everything you’ve collected and donate it to a local charity.

5. Have a Kindness-themed Secret Santa

If you’re doing a gift exchange at work, why not add to the gift with these small, extra, little kindness add-ons: Fill their card with compliments about them, share an article with them about their favourite hobby, or make them a coupon for a favour they can cash in with you at a later time.

Let us know which one of these RAKs you’ll be doing at the office, and check back in tomorrow for another Holiday Happiness Guide!
