LEADERSHIP ROLE

I provide strategic technical direction, leadership, and growth opportunities to a team of Software Developers who are responsible for creating and improving The Weather Network and MétéoMédia websites and mobile apps.  My technical background and drive to deliver results helps to continuously elevate the teams and aim higher.

FAVOURITE THING ABOUT LEADERSHIP

People, people, people.  As soon as you’ve got them figured out, there’s something new.  The vast abundance of situations, challenges, and opportunities that arise always keep me on my toes.  It’s a constant growth experience that never ends.

HOW YOU RECHARGE

It’s music for me — 90s Canadiana mostly.  Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page, Great Big Sea, Alan Doyle, Moxy Fruvous.  Put them on and I jump in to my happy place.  Fiction novels are also a great escape.

LEADERSHIP ANTHEM

I don’t have a leadership anthem, per se.  What I do love though, is a song that’s great to sing along with — singing puts me in the zone and drives energy.  It can turn a below the line moment to a care free, confident me.  Some songs I love to sing: Paradise by the Dashboard Light (Meat Loaf), The Chorus Girl (Steven Page), King of Spain (Moxy Fruvous), 500 Miles (The Proclaimers), One Week (Barenaked Ladies).
